As one who has spent many nights at The Echo (living 3 blocks away helps) I can say that some of the best nights are the crowded sweaty ones where dancing is a requirement not an option. This is the case every Friday night for Club Underground nights, Sunday’s for Part Time Punks and then there’s the touring bands of the likes of Girl Talk, Cut Copy and others who come through regularly. British electro-rockers Does It Offend You, Yeah? carried the dance torch recently and Spaceland Recordings was able to catch some of that live and is inviting you in to share the experience with their latest episode of “At the Show” on ManiaTV.

Watch some live footage of the band performing to an appreciative audience as they play their hit “Let’s Make Out” and a few others. Brendan from ManiaTV also sits down and talks with the guys. So come on in and enjoy another intimate show at The Echo by a band that is known for their often raucous and energetic live shows.

www.spacelandrecordings.com/attheshow

Also we are pleased to make a live version of “Let’s Make Out” an exclusive download at www.spacelandrecordings.com/rcrdlbl

We’re happy to announce that after a couple years of Spaceland Recordings we’ve now added a web TV show to what we’re doing with our good friends at ManiaTV. Every week for 13 weeks, we’ll be featuring 13 of our favorite shows from one of the clubs. Each episode airs in parts Monday-Thursday on Mania.

Our first episode features a band who I’ve wanted to record since we started the label: The Long Winters. If you have ever met John (singer/songwriter/guitar) from the Long Winters, you’ll know he has a unique and entertaining look at life, uncovering gems in what appears to be obvious and pointing out the simplicities in what seems complicated. He’s a modern-day prophet, poet and wise-man.

The video above is what we like to call a “Spaceland Snack” version show for you to get the idea of the full 30 minute episode. You can watch all 4 glorious parts at spacelandrecordings.com/attheshow.

Look forward to The Thermals, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Pop Levi and more in the coming weeks!!

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to put up a quick post and introduce myself. My name is Dane Sundseth and I’ll be helping out Spaceland Recording with press duties as well as this here blog. I’ve been in LA for two years and with my friendship to The Parson Red Heads as well as my constant obsession with music have been an avid attendee at Spaceland, Echo and Echo Plex shows. I run my own PR company called Yukon Promotions and through that have worked with a lot of local bands including The Parson Red Heads, The Weather Underground, Rumspringa, The Monolators, Casxio and more. Because of that, I have worked hand in hand with KamranV and Spaceland Recordings. So it goes without saying that I’m very happy to be a part of the team and to be helping Spaceland Recordings get the word out about all the exciting things that they will be working on. Any questions can be sent to press@spacelandrecordings.com.

Cheers,

Dane
